The time has come for my first blog and the launch of my website!!!
I’ll start off with recent notable events. Last week was the Downies auction 388 where I got my hands a First Prefix (first set of notes to be printed for that year) for both 1997 $5 and 1998 $10 in UNC condition. On Monday was also the release of the Australia Post limited edition ballot, where you can go in the draw to get the chance to purchase some very rare numismatic products. Entries close in few days so don’t miss out.
Next is my top finds of the week. I went through $960 worth of coins and $500 worth of notes (a small search by any means) and came back with 2 super rare coins (a coin that would only be found about every 1000 coins you go through) and 1 good quality note:
- 2001 Victoria federation 20c (2.9M mintage, 1.4 in every 1000)
- 2015 ANZAC $1 (1.4M mintage, 1.4 in every 1000)
- 2016 Last Prefix $5 in aUNC condition (slight scratches on the note unfortunately)
There are a few items in the mail that I’ve recently purchased that I’m waiting for, but unfortunately nothing else exciting coming up in the near future.
